Beauty Benefits of Green Tea

Green tea helps to reduce water retention.

Green tea has been used to improve overall health and appearance of skin and hair for centuries. Rich in antioxidants, anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties, green tea is one of the most powerful household products that can be used topically.

1. Weight loss - Green tea plays a major role in helping you to lose weight! It is one of the main reasons why supermodels and celebrities use green tea in their diets to stay in shape. Green Tea helps the body to burn up fat as fuel.
2.  Flush out the toxins - Green tea also helps to flush out toxins in your body. It also serves as a diuretic and helps to reduce water retention. The diuretic effects of green tea have been used for centuries to help the body get rid of any extra fluid it’s not using. You might be surprised just how much better you look and feel when you are not carrying around extra fluid. When maintained as part of a daily process you should prevent excess fluid buildup as well.

3. Stay Fresh - Green tea is also known for its ability to prevent bad breath. Try making your own toothpaste to test it out. It has the added advantage of tasting good if it's inadvertently swallowed.

You can drink this twice daily for the best effects. While it may not help to treat acute pain, and does not  take the place of a consultation with your doctor to determine your best course of treatment, it can provide you with some pain relief.

5. Protects Skin From Sun Damage –
Green tea contains a cocktail of potent antioxidants called catechins, which help fight damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals can form in your skin for a variety of reasons, including exposure to toxins. However, the most common cause of free radicals in skin cells is UV radiation from sunlight, which causes up to 90% of all signs of premature aging. Since exposure to sunlight is a major factor that ages the skin, it is reasonable to assume that products with green tea extract could help prevent premature aging.
